Hobbies and Personal Interests

I write works of fiction and read a wide array of genres including mainstream literary, biography, science, and pop culture.

I enjoy the outdoors, biking, and taking pictures of the natural world where I live.  I have taken the photos featured throughout my portfolio unless otherwise noted.

Additionally, I am an avid gamer.  When I’m not studying, writing, or reading, I’m usually on the hunt for lost treasures, solving puzzles, or fighting crime and/or zombies.

I have also traveled throughout the U.S. and several European countries.

In 2011, I geared my interests in education and  technology and channeled them toward completing my master’s degree in Educational Technology.  One of my major accomplishments for this degree was learning how to use different publishing platforms. For this final course, I decided to tackle the impressive world of WordPress.  Having experimented with it this semester, I can attest to my proficiency and growing comfortability of using this amazing technology tool.
